Mozzarella is an essential part of Italian cuisine, and with its help, you can take your meal to perfection not only in terms of taste but also in terms of quality protein content. It’s also worth mentioning that mozzarella has the lowest salt content of all the cheeses commonly known here, and therefore also the lowest sodium content, which can be especially useful if you’re watching your intake due to higher blood pressure. And if you’re also watching your fat intake, definitely go for the light version, which contains only about half as much fat as regular mozzarella.

Mozzarella is a must-have on any pizza, whether you opt for a classic favorite or perhaps a slightly less traditional BBQ pizza with chicken. You can also use it on gnocchi or pasta, and if you don’t feel like cooking, you’ll be saved by a Caprese Salad with basil pesto.
