Freeze Dried Fruit Snacks

Freeze‑dried fruit, also known as lyophilised fruit, is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to traditional dried fruit, and it can even be made at home. Freeze‑drying is a multi‑day drying process during which the fruit loses up to 95% of its water content. Thanks to this extremely gentle method, freeze‑dried fruit retains:

  • Maximum vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant content;
  • Its natural texture, colour, and aroma;
  • Longer shelf life;
  • Crispness;
  • Possibility of partial rehydration.

Due to the absence of heat treatment, freeze‑dried fruit is considered a raw food, and there is no need to add sugar or sulphur to it.

Freeze dried fruit powder can also be used as a natural colourant or flavouring, in unflavoured protein powders, smoothies, or porridge. And if you want to enjoy it a little more, reach for chocolate covered freeze dried fruit.
