Chia seeds are especially known for their ability to create a gel‑like texture, which can be desirable when preparing a variety of recipes. From a nutritional perspective, they are also an interesting ingredient, as they contain about 30% health‑promoting fats including omega‑3 fatty acids, 15–25% protein, and about 18–30% fibre.
Chia seeds are therefore a great way to enrich your food with fibre and other health‑promoting substances, and because they are neutral in taste, you can really add them anywhere. On their own, they help you create a delicious chia pudding, or you can add them to overnight oats for an even creamier consistency. Chia seeds can also make dough wonderfully moist, so they are suitable for baking, but also for making homemade jam.
