Baked porridge à la banana bread

Do you love banana bread but want more for your breakfast than just sugar and flour? We've got a solution! This baked porridge tastes like a sweet dessert, but its contents make for a full and balanced breakfast. It combines complex carbohydrates, the natural sweetness of banana and a good portion of protein thanks to the milk. Ideal for meal prep, the lunch box or as a weekend breakfast treat that's also nutritional.

Instructions

  1. In a baking tray, smash the bananas with a fork.

  2. Add the oats, protein, baking powder, chia seeds, and cinnamon, and mix well.

  3. Add the milk and the maple syrup and mix again.

  4. Finally, add the chocolate chips (according to your preference) and top it with some sliced banana.

  5. Transfer to an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for 30 minutes.

  6. Keep it in the fridge for up to 4 days.

  7. This baked porridge tastes even better with one of our Vilgain nut butters. We chose the Peanut Pecan Caramel flavour.
