Per 9 portions
- 70 g oat flour
- 30 g oats
- 60 g baking protein
- 100 g chicory syrup
- 50 g almond butter
- 20 g freeze-dried sour cherries
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 100 g white chocolate
- 30 g cherry jam
- 10 g protein crispies - white chocolate
Instructions
-
For the base, mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and add the sour cherries cut into smaller pieces. Add the chicory syrup and almond butter to the mixture.
-
Work up a thicker dough (this depends a lot on what kind of flakes you use, each has a different liquid absorbency. So if you find the dough too thick and difficult to work with, add a little water by the spoonful).
-
Transfer the dough to a baking dish (19x19 cm) lined with baking paper and smooth and spread evenly on the bottom. Bake at 170 °C for about 10 minutes.
-
Pour the melted chocolate over the baked and cooled base and use a skewer to create a mosaic effect with the cherry jam. Finish with protein crispies.
-
And you can serve! At home with coffee, on the go, on trips, or as a quick healthy snack for school and work. So where do you take these oat bars? Let us know on our Instagram tagged @vilgaincooking! 📸
