Per 3 portions
- 6 apples
- 150 ml water
- 50 g cane sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 cloves
Instructions
-
First, prepare the apples. Peel and pit them, and then chop them into small pieces.
-
Add the chopped apples to a big saucepan and add the water. Cook it over medium heat.
-
Once boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer, covered, until tender. It should take about 15 to 20 minutes. Mix occasionally, to prevent burning.
-
Once tender, add sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Mix well.
-
Lower the heat more and continue to simmer for 5‑10 minutes, so the sugar dissolves, and the flavours can mix.
-
Take it off the heat and leave it to cool. You can serve it hot or cold.
