This dessert is popular for its amazing apple‑and‑cinnamon aroma that will make your whole house smell great. We made a healthier version with the same delicious taste and smell.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to  180 °C.

  2. In a bowl, mix the egg yolks, ghee, and quark.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, protein, sweetener, and baking powder.

  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and work it into a dough. Separate the dough into two‑thirds and one‑third.

  5. Wrap the one‑third in cling film and transfer to the freezer. Press the remaining two‑thirds into a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  6. Grate the apples roughly and mix them with cinnamon, raisins, and nuts. Spread the mixture over the dough in the tray. The baking tray should be about 32x25 cm.

  7. Sweeten the quark with the stevia drops. Whisk the whites to stiff peaks, then carefully fold in the quark. Spread the mixture over the apple layer.

  8. Grate the remaining one‑third of the dough over the top.

  9. Bake for half an hour until golden.

  10. Enjoy!
