Do you love cinnamon rolls but hate the idea of waiting for the dough to rise for hours? Then this recipe is exactly what you need. These cinnamon and yoghurt balls taste exactly like the best cinnamon rolls, but they are ready in minutes thanks to the smart dough from Greek yoghurt. We guarantee you will love them. It's likely you've got most of the ingredients at home already so you can start right away.

Dough:
  • 100 g Greek yoghurt
  • 115 g spelt flour
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the yoghurt, baking soda, salt, and 150g of spelt flour (keep the remaining 10g on the side). Form a compact and non‑sticky dough.

  2. Use the remaining flour for your working surface to ensure the dough doesn't stick to it. Then roll it out into 2‑3mm thickness.

  3. Mix the nut butter with coconut oil until smooth and spread it evenly over the dough.

  4. Roll the dough up, then slice it into 4- 5 cm thick rounds and then slice each round in half.

  5. Take one half‑round and form it into a ball. Mix the coconut sugar with cinnamon and coat the balls in the mixture.
  6. Place in a baking tray, sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar and drizzle with maple syrup. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for 15‑20 minutes.
