If you tried the traditional Thai dessert known as Mango sticky rice, chances are you are addicted to it. We know. The combination of sweet mango and delicious coconut rice sounds unusual but tastes amazing.

But this is no Thailand beach. This is the realm of healthy Vilgain recipes.  That's why we have a protein‑packed, healthier version of this dish for you.

Instructions

  1. Soak the sticky rice (you can buy it in Asian shops) for at least 3 hours in water. Ideally overnight. Before cooking, drain and rinse the rice in cold water, then leave to dry.

  2. Cook it in 150ml of water. Once it soaked up the water, add the coconut milk with protein, and cook for a little bit longer.

  3. Transfer the cooked rice into a bowl, cover, and leave it to rest for 15 minutes. The rice should be soft, sticky, firm, but properly cooked.

  4. Serve it with juicy mango, drizzled with sesame seeds.
