- 500 g chicken meat
- 140 g Greek yoghurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp garlic granules
- 2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dill
- 200 g Greek yoghurt
- 150 g cucumber
- 1 tsp dill
- 1/2 tsp garlic granules

Instructions

Start by marinating the meat. You can do it one day ahead, so it's marinating overnight.
Use boneless chicken thighs. Marinate them in Greek yoghurt, olive oil, lemon juice and zest, and seasoning. Mix well and leave it to marinate for at least an hour.

Meanwhile, prepare the tzatziki. In a bowl, mix the Greek yoghurt, finely grated cucumber (no skin), dill, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

Prepare a small baking dish or a bread tin. Layer the marinated meat. So it doesn't move whilst roasting, skewer it together. Bake at 180 °C for 60 minutes.

After roasting, slice the meat finely. You can serve the gyros with baked potatoes, vegetables and homemade tzatziki or another sauce.
