Mince and Potato Bake

If you haven't tried bolognese sauce other than with spaghetti, we recommend trying our tasty combination with potatoes. The flavours blend perfectly and the baked cheese, which stretches to a crisp in places, will leave you completely enchanted. You won't want to stop eating it.

Meat Mixture:
  • 400 g beef mince
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 400 g arrabbiata tomato sauce
  • 1,5 tsp sea salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tsp vegetable seasoning mix
  • 300 g potatoes
Béchamel:
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • 70 ml milk
  • 70 g 30% edam cheese
  • sea salt
Final Touch:
  • 60 g 30% edam cheese

Instructions

  1. Mince and Potato BakeFirst, clean the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil.

  2. Prepare the meat mixture. Fry chopped onion, chopped garlic and carrots in oil and stir for a while.

  3. Add the minced meat and fry it. Season with salt and pepper, add canned tomatoes and water if needed. Let simmer for 15‑20 minutes until the liquid evaporates.

  4. In the meantime, prepare the béchamel. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add a large spoonful of flour and fry. Pour in the milk and cook for a few minutes until thickened.

  5. Add grated cheese, salt and stir until melted. Add a little milk as needed to make a nice liquid mixture.

  6. Layer the meat in the bottom of the baking dish, place the potatoes evenly on top, pour the béchamel and sprinkle with cheese.
