There are a million varieties of waffles, but we are the biggest fans of those which also have health benefits, hidden in the fluffy batter. That's why we made those kefir waffles. We finished them with our prebiotic toppings, rich in fibre that supports good digestion, healthy microbiomes, and makes dishes more filling. Let's try them!

Per 4 portions
- 250 g kefir
- 200 g plain flour
- 2 tbsp cane sugar
- 50 g ghee
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- chocolate prebiotic topping
- fruit
- skyr
Instructions

In a big bowl, mix the flour, cane sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.

In a separate bowl, whip the eggs. Add the kefir, melted ghee and vanilla extract, and mix well.

Slowly pour the wet kefir mixture into the dry mixture, and create a smooth batter without lumps.

Preheat the waffle maker and grease it slightly with oil or butter.

Pour batter into each section of the waffle maker, close it and bake until golden brown. This should take between 3 and 5 minutes, depending on your waffle maker.

Serve the waffles immediately, ideally with fresh fruit, topping and skyr.
