Chicken satay skewers are a well‑known South Asian dish, most often served with peanut sauce. Vilgain has all the ingredients you need to make this tasty and flavoursome Vietnamese dish at home. We bet you'll make it more than once.

Per 2 portions
- 350 g chicken breast
- 50 ml coconut milk
- 1 tbsp amino sauces
- 1 tbsp fish sauces
- 1 clove garlic
- 5 g ginger
- 1 tsp coconut sugar
- Turmeric

- 150 ml coconut milk
- 50 ml water
- 50 g peanut butter
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1 tbsp amino sauces
- 1 tsp coconut sugar
- Turmeric
- lime juice
- Basmati rice
- peanuts
- coriander
- cucumber
- lime
Instructions

Cook the rice in salted water according to the instructions.

Dice the chicken breast.

Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl – coconut milk, soy or amino sauce, fish sauce, coconut sugar, turmeric, pepper, chilli and finely chopped garlic and ginger. Add the chicken to the marinade and leave it for at least 20 minutes.

Next, the peanut sauce. In a saucepan, mix the coconut milk, water, peanut butter, soy or amino sauce, coconut sugar and chicken stock cube. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Take it off the heat, add lime juice and leave it to thicken.

Make skewers from the marinated chicken – should be about 4 skewers.

Spray coconut oil in a pan and heat it up.

Add the skewers and fry over high heat on each side.

Serve the chicken satay with crushed peanuts, coriander, and lime. Serve with rice and cucumber.
