Potato gratin is a very popular recipe and has been for a while. It's easy to make but absolutely delicious. Try our lighter version in which we swapped the cream for more nutritionally dense cottage cheese, but still kept the famous delicious flavour.💯

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 250 g cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • herbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes, and then slice them finely.

  3. Place them into a greased dish and add the cottage cheese with eggs, chopped onion, salt, pepper, garlic and herbs. Add a drizzle of olive oil and mix.

  4. Cover the baking dish with foil or a lid.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes.

  6. Serve it as a side dish or on its own. Enjoy!
