Fluffy Easter bread is an irreplaceable part of the Czech Easter tradition. This one is a perfectly fragrant version with orange zest, plenty of dried fruits and crunchy pistachios. - 500 g plain flour
- 80 g cane sugar
- 250 ml milk
- 10 g dried yeast
- 150 g dried apricots
- 50 g dried plums
- 30 g pistachios
- 25 g of blanched almonds
- 100 g butter
- 20 g buckwheat honey
- 5 g salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp orange peel
- 1/2 tsp cardamom
- 0,4 tsp vanilla powder

Instructions

In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, cardamom, and vanilla.

Add lukewarm milk, egg, melted butter and honey.

Using a kitchen blender, mix everything for at least 10 minutes.

Whilst it's being mixed, add the chopped nuts, chopped dried fruit and orange zest.

Leave it to rise in a warm place for 1‑1,5 hours.

Create a big bun or braid it according to the video instructions. Wash it with egg, sprinkle with sugar cane and nuts, and bake it at 160 °C for 40‑50 minutes.

Once baked, sprinkle it with some caster sugar and enjoy!
