Bruschetta with hummus is a fast, light and balanced food that you can prepare even without a lot of planning.

Crunchy wholemeal toast accompanied by smooth hummus, fresh vegetables and high‑quality ham come together in a combination that will fill you up, without weighing you down. It works as a quick lunch, lighter dinner or a simple New Year's Eve nibble if you're looking for something fresh, colourful and practical.

  • 4 slices of wholegrain toast bread
  • 40 g hummus
  • 2 ml avocado oil
  • rocket
  • 1 slice Black Forest hams
  • 10 g green olives
  • 4 slices tomatoes
  • 20 g carrots
  • 10 g parmesan
  • spring onion
  • garlic
  • parsley leaves
  • leek
  • spring onion

Instructions

  1. Prepare all the vegetables  – wash them, peel them and chop them into small pieces, cubes or slices (depending on the shape of the vegetable). Just pick whatever veggies you like and as many of them as you like.

  2. Slice the bread in half and spray it (or drizzle it) with some oil. Fry it in a pan on both sides.

  3. Rub some garlic on the toasted bread, then spread the hummus over it. Then top it with whatever you fancy – we chose veggies, olives, parmesan, ham, and rocket. Enjoy!
