Did you have a busy day? Are you starving but don't want to make a big pile of dishes to wash? Then you want to be making this creamy orzo with chicken and broccoli. You can make it all in one pan in under 30 minutes. Thanks to the chicken, you will be eating 50 grams of protein, whilst the cream and Parmesan make it into the perfect comfort food. The ultimate quick dinner that will make you feel pleasantly full.

  • 280 g chicken breast
  • 130 g orzo pasta
  • 80 ml 12% single cream
  • 500 ml chicken broth
  • 20 g parmesan
  • 1 red onion
  • 70 g broccoli
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • salt
  • pepper
  • ground paprika

Instructions

  1. Chop the chicken. Season it with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic granules. Fry in a pan.

  2. Add finely chopped onion and broccoli. Fry for a couple more minutes.

  3. Add the orzo and stock. Cook for approximately 20 minutes, until the pasta is tender. If needed, you can add more water or stock.

  4. Add in the cream and most of the Parmesan. Save some for the top.

  5. Enjoy!
