- 500 g chicken mince
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- salt
- pepper
- 100 g gouda
- 2 tbsp oil
- 400 g tomato puree
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- oregano
- garlic granules
- 100 g gouda
Instructions
-
In a bowl, mix minced chicken, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Using your hands, create a smooth and non‑sticky mixture.
-
Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and create 8 patties. Place a piece of cheese on each patty and hide it completely in the mixture. Smooth out the edges of the patties so they don't crumble.
-
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the patties on each side until they're golden brown. Transfer them to a baking dish and spread them evenly.
-
In a small bowl, mix potato puree, ketchup, oregano and garlic granules. Mix until smooth. If it's too thick, add a splash of water.
-
Pour the tomato sauce over the patties and grate some cheese over. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 25 minutes, until the cheese has melted and turned golden.
-
Remove the patties from the oven and leave them to rest for a couple of minutes.
-
Enjoy!
