Organic Earl Grey – loose black tea with bergamot oil
Vilgain Earl Grey BIO – intense black tea with bergamot
Earl Grey BIO black tea is a traditional English tea and one of the world’s most famous and popular flavored teas. Its base is high-quality black tea flavored with natural bergamot oil from citrus fruit. It has a strong and robust taste, perfect for a morning boost.
Origin from the “land of a thousand hills”
The tea leaves come from the mountainous provinces of Rwanda, rich in volcanic soil and a cooler tropical climate, which slows growth and intensifies both flavor and aroma. For maximum quality, the leaves are picked using the two leaves and a bud method – the two youngest leaves and a bud. After harvesting, the leaves are withered, then rolled, oxidized, and dried. They are then enriched with natural bergamot oil.
A hint of invigorating theine
In our Earl Grey tea, you’ll notice an intense hint of theine, an older term for caffeine, with a slightly bitter and fresh citrus flavor that can traditionally be softened with honey, milk, or a drop of lemon. The tea is suitable for morning or mid-morning drinking, or as a base for tea-based mixed drinks.
Intense flavor
Earl Grey black tea is recommended to steep for 1–2 minutes, which brings out its typical lightly citrus flavor. With longer steeping, the taste becomes fuller, with a tendency to gradually become more bitter. The tea is best enjoyed freshly prepared.
