Marine Collagen Supplements

Marine collagen, commonly known as fish collagen, is primarily sourced from the skin and scales of fish, and sometimes from shellfish. It is a hydrolysed collagen in the form of collagen peptides, which has a low molecular weight, making it easy and fast to absorb. The main component is collagen type I, responsible for the strength and elasticity of skin, hair, nails, as well as joints and tendons.

Benefits of Marine Collagen

Marine collagen is considered a fundamental beauty supplement, recommended especially for those aiming to achieve:

  • Firm and elastic skin;
  • Reduced wrinkles and better‑hydrated skin;
  • Strong and healthy hair;
  • Strong nails.

In addition to promoting skin health, marine collagen can also support joint health, although beef collagen is considered a better joint supplement due to its content of the amino acid proline, which ensures collagen strength.

How to Take Marine Collagen?

Fish collagen is recommended for long‑term use, with daily doses of at least 2,500 mg. Some marine collagens are labeled as "bioactive," but in fact, all hydrolysed marine collagens have bioactive properties due to their effects. Certified Naticol® marine collagen ensures quality, sustainability, and its benefits are supported by studies. You can find it in our Collagen Complex and Marine Collagen Complex.
As an alternative to marine collagen supplements, regular consumption of fish broth can also provide similar benefits.
