Vitamin B9 is a key B‑group vitamin that supports DNA synthesis and blood formation. It also contributes to the normal function of the heart and nervous system. We bring it to you in a highly bioavailable and stable folate form under the Quatrefolic® trademark.
The synthetic form of vitamin B9 is called folic acid. The body must first convert it into the active form in order for the organism to utilize it. In contrast, active folate is in a form that the body can immediately and efficiently use without the need for further conversion.
The vitamin is enriched with glucosamine salt, which acts as a special “carrier”, making folate significantly more stable than common forms with calcium salt. One capsule contains 400 µg, which corresponds to twice the recommended daily dose.
