Vilgain MCT Coconut Oil with High Caprylic Acid Content
MCT oil is a popular plant‑based fat made from coconut pulp. It is metabolized differently compared to regular fats and can be used more quickly as a source of energy.
At least 99% Caprylic Acid (C8)
We achieved high concentrations of C8 by fractionating raw coconut oil. During this process, other fatty acids that are normally present in the oil are removed. It is C8 that has shown the greatest and strongest effect in studies [1, 2]. Lower quality MCT oils often contain only small amounts of caprylic acid or are diluted with cheaper vegetable oils.
Source of Quick Energy and Increased Satiety
Within a few dozen minutes after consumption, it is processed by the liver and does not store like regular fats. For active people, its ability to provide our body with very fast and clean energy is especially important, which can help improve endurance performance. In a study [3], an effect on reducing lactic acid production was observed, which is naturally produced in the muscles during exercise and negatively affects overall performance.
Excellent Digestibility
MCT oils break down into fatty acids (FA) and are absorbed faster than regular fats. They travel through the bloodstream directly to the liver, where, through mitochondria, they are oxidized and produce acetyl‑CoA as a usable source of energy for endurance athletes or as a substrate for the production of ketone bodies. MCT fats are used more efficiently than regular fats and have a lower tendency to be stored as fat reserves.
For Salads, Porridge, Coffee, Smoothies—Simply Anywhere
The oil has a neutral taste and aroma, so you can mix it into any dish or drink to enrich it. It can also be consumed on its own.
