We have achieved a high concentration of C8 by fractionating raw coconut oil. This process removes the other fatty acids that are otherwise normally present in the oil. It is with C8 that the largest and strongest effect was observed in studies [1, 2]. Lower quality MCT oils often contain small amounts of caprylic acid or are diluted with cheaper vegetable oils.
A source of quick energy and increased satiety
In studies [3, 4], improvements in gut health and nutrient absorption from ingested food have been observed, as well as positive effects on the gut microbiota. Within a few tens of minutes after consumption, it is processed by the liver and is not stored like conventional fats. For active people, however, its ability to provide our bodies with very fast and clean energy will be particularly important, which can help to improve endurance performance. In a study [5], the effect on reducing the production of lactic acid, which naturally builds up in muscles during sport and negatively affects overall performance, was noted.
In studies [6, 7], there was an increased release of the hormones peptide YY and leptin after consumption of MCT oil, which may lead to an increase in satiety and a decrease in appetite.
Excellent digestibility
MCT oils break down into fatty acids (FAs) and are absorbed faster than conventional fats. They travel through the bloodstream directly to the liver, where they are oxidized via the mitochondria and produce acetyl‑CoA as a usable energy source for endurance athletes or a substrate for ketone body formation. MCT fats are used more efficiently than normal fats and have a lower tendency to be stored in fat stores.

The oil has a neutral taste and flavour, so you can add it to any dish or drink to enhance it. It can also be consumed on its own.
