Hello,Vilgain Železo + Vitamin C is a dietary supplement that provides 100% of the recommended daily intake of both iron and vitamin C per vegan capsule. While iron supplements are generally safe for most individuals, taking them without medical advice may lead to potential side effects, such as constipation or, in rare cases, iron overload. It's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement, especially if you have existing health conditions or are taking other medications. Have a nice day.

Hello, for a 14 year old athlete, is Vitamin C with or without iron better? Thank you for the answer

Hi Matthias, vitamin C promotes iron absorption, so if the goal is to supplement iron, the combination is suitable. However, if the goal is to supplement only vitamin C, it can be taken alone, iron does not affect its absorption. Have a nice day.

Hello, I have found quite a few sources that say that iron is best used by the body on an empty stomach (ideally on an empty stomach, if it is digestible for the person, or with a sufficient distance between meals, 2 hours for example). What is your reason for recommending taking iron with food? Is it a different formulation of the product or something else?

Hi Barbara, isolated vitamins and minerals are generally better absorbed when taken with food, as food contains additional trace elements that help with absorption. Fasting can cause nausea for some people if they have a more sensitive stomach.
Conversely, iron should not be taken with calcium (dairy products), which reduces its absorption, as does tea or coffee. Have a nice day :).

Hi, yes, since the Vilgain multivitamin does not contain iron, a combination of these two products is possible.
