Vilgain Chilli sauce - extra spicy, from smoked paprika, with three types of chilli
Should the right chilli sauce burn your sins away? Wrong. The right chilli sauce should burn the sins and taste great at the same time.
Vilgain Smoked Pepper Chilli Sauce has a nice smoky aroma of smoked peppers complemented by a spectrum of three types of chilli peppers. In the cold, sauce you can feel the subtle fruity touch of Bhut Jolokia, the intense power of Habanero and the extra hot Carolina Reaper, which is known for its flavour nuances.
Juicy, hand‑made base
More than half of the content is made up of red peppers from Spain, which are thoroughly washed and inspected after being imported into the Czech Republic. Defective pieces are discarded to guarantee the maximum quality of the final product. They are then smoked for several hours on fragrant beech wood, where they acquire their unique flavour. Finally, the peppers are blended, boiled and sieved by hand so that not a single skin spoils the pleasantly liquid consistency and only the juicy flesh remains.
Bhut Jolokia, Habanero and their spiciest baby
We chose three popular, super spicy chillies for the sauce. The hotness is measured on the so‑called Scoville hotness scale (SHU). The mildest chillies in our sauce - habaneros - range from 100,000 to 350,000 SHU. Bhut Jolokia, better known as ghost chilli, is packed with 800,000 to 1,040,000 SHU. But neither of them comes close to their hilarious hybrid Carolina Reaper with a hotness of a whopping 1,4 to 2,2 million SHU. All the chillies used are seasonally locally grown in the Czech Republic.
Our new delicacy with a unique recipe, free of artificial preservatives and colourings will be appreciated by all spicy food lovers and hopefully help create several new ones.
