I've just been recently diagnosed with pre diabetes (42) mmol/mol, and high cholesterol (serum cholesterol (6.3 mmol) / serum HDL cholesterol (1) & SE Non HDL cholesterol (5.3 mmol) So I wanted to know if the Berberine would be fine to take for pre diabetes & or cholesterol levels. Thank you.

Hello, thank you for your question. Berberine is often used as a supplement to support healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels, but since you've recently been diagnosed with prediabetes and elevated cholesterol, we recommend discussing its use with your doctor before starting it, especially if you're taking or may start prescription medication. Your healthcare provider can advise whether it's appropriate for your individual situation.

Thanks for your reply, the trouble with discussing this with a doctor is we all know what doctors want to push and a doctor has no experience in supplements or vitamins (as they don't make money from them) 100% facts. I have absolutely no plans to take any medication from a doctor that involves prediabetes or my cholesterol level (which both are not high & is easily reversible) with the right supplements/vitamins, hence why I was asking for some form of clarity? Especially before I purchase, I guess I'm looking for some form of reassurance from a nutritionist? I appreciate any light you could share on this. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for your reply. Berberine has shown promising results in supporting healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels, but we can't provide personal recommendations or reassurance that it's suitable for your specific situation. We recommend monitoring your blood sugar and cholesterol regularly if you decide to use it.
