Natural Coconut Milk

Coconut milk is a popular dairy alternative, suitable for vegans and individuals with lactose intolerance or cow’s milk protein allergy. This creamy, white liquid is widely used in Indian and Asian cuisine to add richness to sauces and soups, and it’s perfect for desserts, cereals, or oats.

Coconut milk has a high energy content, which is worth monitoring, especially during a weight‑loss diet—there’s also a light version available for this purpose. In addition, coconut milk is a good source of fibre, manganese, phosphorus, and iron.

Coconut milk is often confused with other coconut products:

  • Coconut Water: clear liquid inside young green coconuts, mainly used for refreshment. Over time, some of this liquid turns into the coconut’s flesh.
  • Coconut Milk: thick white liquid made by steeping grated coconut flesh in hot water. During this process, coconut oil is released, making the milk quite rich.
  • Coconut Cream: thicker version of coconut milk with a lower water content, suitable as a whipping cream alternative.
  • Coconut Drink: blend of coconut fat with other ingredients, so it is not a 100% coconut product.
