Vilgain Whey Protein
Reviews
Improving the formula means that the tasty protein with real vanilla that didn't foam and was sold half a year ago is now undrinkable and frothy as hell. Of course it doesn't contain real vanilla because there's more money to be made from customers.
The "improved formula" is the worst thing that could have happened. The once delicious chocolate protein is now just a bit of discolored sugar water. No longer suitable for porridge. Very disappointing. Very bad.
Considering the values and OK price, I didn't expect much, but it's still a total flop after a few tastes. The name of the flavor sounds so appealing and original, but the reality is bland desperation mixed by someone who has never tasted a similar competing protein. Peanuts? Not a trace. Caramel? Yeah, a little for colour, but the flavour is nowhere to be found. Mostly there's 10% milk powder, which is completely unnecessary because it doesn't show up in the whey protein in taste or consistency. Not to mention the complete lack of sweetness, density, and the fact that the photo is of coffee in a glass, which is completely absent in the flavor. It comes across as dirty water even though I more than doubled the dose. So a really bad flavor that is as different from the name as it can be, a nonsensical dose of sugars, all in all for that price I can have any premium protein on the market. To buy it again, I value my money too much for that.
It used to be a great protein, but after the last modification it tastes weird and has a bitter ending...a tragedy for me. I'm considering not buying it at all.
WARNING DANGEROUS PRODUCT!! I almost ended up in a hospital after taking this pseudo-whey. I got extreme stomach flu, high fever, terrible stomach pain, vomiting all night long. After a month the company does not take any responsibility for the product, they do not want to return the money. I am taking the case to court. As I can see from other comments, I am not the only one who has a problem with this NEW RECIPE. Do not buy it.
Really minimally 'ultraprocessed' ingredients, I love that. I do recommend the grass-fed version, though, it's very similar to this one but the micronutrients in that one are no match for this.
