This is not the typical hot chocolate you know from the vending machine or supermarket "hot chocolate". This is a premium blend of 3 delicate varieties of precisely crushed cocoa beans with clear provenance. It makes a velvety smooth, milk‑chocolate drink full of flavour and antioxidants. It's the perfect companion for cold winter evenings or cosy afternoons. To preserve the authentic taste and properties of these exceptional cocoa varieties, you'll find only organic cane sugar, organic milk powder and organic cocoa butter in the extra chocolate.

The quality of the beans used is essential

Trinataria, nacional and criollo - valuable varieties with a rich cocoa flavour. They are difficult to grow, so they are primarily used in luxury chocolates. They are grown in the northeastern province of Duarte in the Dominican Republic, which provides them with an optimal climate.

Trinataria is a hybrid between criollo and forastero, uniquely combining the best qualities from each - the smoothness of criollo and the earthiness of forastero. The nacional variety is one of the oldest varieties and its bushes produce few beans, which is why it is very rare. Criollo accounts for less than 5 % of world cocoa production. It is delicate and considered to be the best variety ever.

I did not choose these varieties for no reason. They complement each other perfectly and form a perfect symbiosis of flavours that is far removed from ordinary hot chocolates made from cheap and unknown cocoa beans. They have a complex flavour profile and a distinct aroma reminiscent of honey, cherry, and cookies.
