Vilgain Organic Cocoa Butter is an unrefined vegetable fat with a rich cocoa aroma and light creamy color.
Cocoa beans are first fermented and then carefully roasted. Once roasted, they are stripped of their skins and finely ground using granite stones to form a cocoa mass from which the resulting cocoa butter is then skimmed off.
The butter can be used for making chocolate, but it is also very suitable for roasting, toasting and baking. Thanks to its relatively high smoke point, it does not burn. Its great advantage is that it does not overpower the flavours of the other ingredients and even helps them to stand out.
However, it can also be used in cosmetics. Cocoa butter has excellent healing and regenerative properties, promotes skin elasticity and helps prevent stretch marks. It is used to soften and soothe dry skin, soothe irritated skin and treat corroded skin on elbows and heels.
