Creative Category Owner - Food

In this position, you will:

• Research market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for new product development and assortment expansion
• Develop and execute product development strategies aligned with Vilgain's brand identity and target market
• Source and evaluate suppliers and manufacturers to ensure high‑quality and cost‑effective production of own brand products
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve competitive product margins and optimal inventory levels
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including marketing, design, and supply chain to develop product specifications, packaging, and pricing strategies
• Manage the end‑to‑end product lifecycle from concept development, sampling, and production to launch and post‑launch evaluation

You will likely succeed if you:

• Proven experience in product development, sourcing, or buying roles within the food or other consumer goods industry
• Innovative thinking with a passion for food and brand development
• Understanding of supply chain management
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure the best deals
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
