from seaweed
Vitamin D in its most accessible form (D3, or cholecalciferol) occurs almost exclusively in animal form in nature and is commonly made from lanolin from sheep's wool. Compared to D2, the common plant form of vitamin D, it has 87% better digestibility [1]. However, our form of the vitamin‑D3V® [2] comes from GMO‑free seaweed. It has been used for years for other food purposes and is chemically identical to its animal counterpart, D3.
