We quite like the almonds in white chocolate, but the raspberry powder is not very aromatic, which disappointed us at home. They are then very sweet – I’ve had such almonds from another producer before and the raspberry powder there had a more pronounced flavor, so the almonds were more interesting, not as sweet. However, for lovers of white chocolate, they’re fine.
Almonds in dark chocolate – here I have to rate the chocolate and the almonds separately. The chocolate is very gray (I didn’t expect them to be shiny, but if they’re fresh, they probably shouldn’t be this gray, right?), but taste-wise it’s a very good dark chocolate, not overly sweet, so in the end we’re satisfied with the chocolate. What surprised us is that about 2/3 of the almonds in dark chocolate were almost rock hard, extremely tough (the almonds in white chocolate are fine, crunchy, but pleasantly so – most of the almonds in dark chocolate are terribly hard – almost dangerous for your teeth – but I’d like to point out that it’s not the chocolate, but the almonds themselves, and it was also strange that it wasn’t all the almonds). Considering that the almonds were out of stock and I ordered them right after they arrived, I expected them to be fresh and they didn’t seem that way to me (the ones in dark chocolate). So I recommend the dark chocolate, but not the almonds in it.
