Vilgain Organic White Basmati Rice is long‑grain husked rice from ecologic farming. It remains firm, loose and non‑sticky during cooking. It is great as a side dish in Indian and international cuisine. It goes well with meats, vegetables and in rice salads, but you can also use it in sweet rice dishes. Basmati is the noblest variety of rice, otherwise known as the 'queen of fragrance', and is grown in the fields at the foot of the Himalayas in Pakistan, which means the rice is irrigated directly with water from the glaciers. It has a specific sandalwood aroma and a slightly nutty taste.

Instructions for preparation
- Rinse the rice thoroughly with water, pour it into a pot and add water.
- For each cup of rice, add 2 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil and season with salt.
- Cover the pot with a lid and let the rice cook over low heat for 12‑14 minutes, do not stir the rice.
- Then the rice is ready to serve.
