Organic Maize for Popcorn – whole blue corn kernels for homemade popcorn

Vilgain Organic Popcorn Corn - a healthy snack

Naturally sweet treat with a pronounced corn flavor and subtle nutty notes. Blue corn comes from a crop cultivated for hundreds of years by the Hopi tribe in South America. That’s why it’s sometimes called Hopi corn. Its shape resembles a butterfly or a starfish and it belongs to the butterfly category. It is especially suitable for making savory popcorn.

Unique not only in color

The distinctive bluish corn is the result of contained anthocyanins and bioactive substances. In plants, these naturally occur as pigments and, besides blue corn, are also found in beetroot or in red cabbage leaves.

Pure composition with high fiber content

Popcorn contains about 30% of the recommended daily fiber intake per 100 g. Fiber is important for proper digestive function and provides a feeling of fullness. Our popcorn corn, on the other hand, contains no gluten, is naturally grown without genetic modification, and you won’t find any unnecessary additives in it.
